F-16 Shoots Down Russian Su-35 Over Kursk! First F-16 Air-to-Air Kill of the War - Suchomimus

In a historic moment, a Ukrainian Air Force F-16 has shot down a Russian Su-35 over Yurasovo in Kursk, marking the first confirmed air-to-air victory of the war for the newly delivered Western jets.

The incident occurred on 7th June 2025, and comes as part of Ukraine’s broader effort to push back Russian air superiority using NATO-supplied aircraft.

And long serving too. It's a badass jet.
Previous hot fighters were the F-86 Sabre and the P-51 Mustang. They were cool planes.
