“They make it hard to like them.”

I have worked with three Israeli companies. In a 4th partnered with Israeli’s in a joint venture. In almost every situation - they were not to be trusted. One of the Israeli’s once told me he could not understand why his fellow Israeli’s went out of their way to be bastards to their partners and customers.

That experience was the final straw and the reason I refused to work with any Israel or Israeli company ever again.

In my extensive career working overseas and traveling to many countries I'm convinced that Israel has the highest asshole per capita ratio of any nation on earth. They are not all bad, but the jerks greatly outnumber the decent people

We traveled there in the early 1980s right after living in a country bordering on South Africa when it was an apartheid nation. Israel was many times worse than S Africa. In general the white S Africans helds a racist paternalistic attitude towards Black S Africans. They considered them child-like and uninterested in governing themselves. Israelis, on the other hand, openly expressed hatred towards the Palestinians. I can't count the number of times they told us how much they wanted the Palestinians gone or dead. I personally witnessed Uzi toting settlers, speaking with American accents so not Sephardic, shoving elderly Arabs off the sidewalk. We were stopped on the street by the police (Askenazis) and questioned in the most arrogant manner something that never happened to us in South Africa. All in all they are just a terrible people and I would never go back there.
