Ukraine Needs a Spiritual Warrior Pope: A Call for Moral Leadership - Econ Lessons

Hi, my name is Mark. I am an Economist but also a Catholic, and I want to say that in a world ruled by power, profit, and political calculation, the archetype of the spiritual warrior has been all but forgotten. But now, more than ever, we need it to return. Ukraine is suffering under an unjust and brutal invasion. The Catholic Church—and its Pope—must not remain neutral.

This is a call to the new Pope: Be a spiritual warrior for truth and justice. Speak the moral truth clearly. Name the evil. Inspire hope. As a Catholic, I believe this isn’t only the Pope’s task but ours. All people of faith and conscience are called to become spiritual warriors: to pray, speak, act, and visualize a future where even the most despotic regimes can be transformed by truth.

This is what authentic faith demands. This is how peace begins. Let's make the world a better place.
