Russia may place nuclear weapons in space and target satellites, NATO warns - Agnieszka Łukaszczyk - TVP WORLD

NATO is sounding the alarm: Russia may be preparing to place nuclear weapons in space—potentially targeting satellites in a future conflict. NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte confirmed the reports, calling the threat ‘very worrying’ and a clear violation of the 1967 Outer Space Treaty.

With Moscow’s space technology lagging behind the West, experts warn that weaponizing orbit could be Russia’s shortcut to achieving strategic parity.

The warning comes as Warsaw hosts the European Space Agency’s Security Conference, where space defense is a key focus.

Agnieszka Łukaszczyk, Founder & CEO of hiAltitude Consulting, joined TVP World to assess how serious this threat is—and whether we’re witnessing the beginning of a dangerous new arms race above Earth.
