San Diego Bay showing signs of improvement after reef balls installed



We first showed you these reef balls in 2021. They were installed in December of that year and they were made of oyster shells that came from the Carlsbad Aquafarm.

These make great habitat. Our dive club waited until one of the lowest tides of the year so we could roll it out as far as possible before having to use the lift bags. Almost immediately started attracting various sealife residents. This was at the Edmonds Underwater Park north of Seattle.

(That was quite a while ago - I haven't been diving in well over a decade.)
