Sprinkles Cupcakes abruptly closing all stores nationwide: Full list of current locations

WASHINGTON — Sprinkles Cupcakes appears to be closing all of its local bakeries across the country. ... Sprinkles, which launched in 2005, currently has 20 locations across six states and Washington, D.C.

While the company has yet to issue an official statement, an employee reached by calling Sprinkles in D.C. confirmed that all of the stores would be closing on Dec. 31. ... Similar reports from other stores said the bakeries would close permanently at 8 p.m. local time.

The online ordering system for all of the Sprinkles stores is currently only allowing orders for New Year's Eve and lists "no times available" for every day starting Jan. 1, 2026.

Sprinkles also lists 25 Cupcake ATM locations across the country. It's unclear what will happen to those ATMs. ... Sprinkles Cupcakes did not respond to a request for comment on Dec. 31.

Private equity is a cancer on society. They take the money out of the company which straddles the company with debt which then goes out of business. The private equity owner walks away with a fortune. This is happening everyday in our country.
