The former prime minister said the platform would launch this summer. It is her latest attempt to become a leading figure on the radical right in Britain, openly declaring her support for Donald Trump and Elon Musks mission to slash state spending in the US.
Truss made the revelation at a cryptocurrency conference in Bedford over the weekend. She said that she had been cut off at the knees when she became prime minister by the elite, which opposed radical change.
That has made me think that its not enough just to get into number 10, she said. What Im now thinking is we need a media network to be able to communicate to people, to be able to have a grassroots movement that is actually really demanding change of our leaders.

LOL. Will it outlast a lettuce? Trump could use his for people to suck up to him, and he had a ready-made flock of worshippers. Truss doesn't seem to realise that she's just a disposable curiosity for right-wingers. I mean, look at her massive popularity so far:
The former prime minister has entered the bestsellers list at number 70, below RuPauls memoir and an air-fryer cookbook.
...
Compared to memoirs released by other former prime ministers, Ten Years to Save the West falls below the 21,000 copies sold by David Cameron in its first week and well short of Tony Blairs autobiography, which managed to shift 92,000 copies in the same timeframe.
...
John Majors memoir sold just 5,415 copies in its first week but went on to exceed 200,000 in total. Edward Heaths The Course of My Life struggled to surpass 20,000 copies, while Gordon Browns My Life, Our Times sold about 30,000.

Does she not have anyone around her who can gently explain why she's a really bad choice to front such a project

(41,333 posts)if someone posts 'Liz Truss crashed the economy'?
Will the site remain free and uncensored, or will there be instant orders to Cease and Desist?

Truss's new site is bound to be a Web wonder!
You'd think she'd have got the message by now that nobody's interested in her, butterhead's too big.

(41,333 posts)where it was suggested that Truss and Johnson might get together and start a forum called 'Pork Markets and Porkies'.
I suppose 'The Slug and Lettuce' might be an alternative name for such a forum.
