Oracle cuts 101 more Seattle jobs in new round of layoffs

Oracle Corp. (NYSE: ORCL) is again laying off more than 100 employees in Washington, according to a state filing Tuesday.

The cloud computing company will lay off 101 people in Seattle beginning Nov. 3, the company disclosed in a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification.

The layoffs boost the total number of local employees cut by Oracle in the past month to 262, after the Austin, Texas-headquartered company laid off 161 employees in August.

An Oracle spokesperson did not immediately return a request for comment.

... savings are not the same as profits or making higher profits, it is a spiral downhill. Leads to more layoffs until a capital investment firm like Bane Capitol steps in, sells of assets, lays off even more and spins it off to go bankrupt later.

The question is can the leadership that brings a company to the mass layoffs point have the moxie to break the cycle?
