More money up in flames: Chad Magendanz and Voter Science are running another push poll in the 5th Legislative District

Chad Magendanz must really love generating worthless data.

Days after NPI published an extensive dissection of a push poll that the perennial Republican candidate paid his own company to conduct last month, we got word that the Magendanz campaign is doing another push poll, this one ostensibly geared towards the general election. What’s incredible is that this one is worse than the last one… there are even more loaded questions with prejudicial language in them!

Magendanz, fifty-eight, is one of two legislative candidates the Washington State Republican Party and the Senate Republican Campaign Committee are running in the battleground legislative districts this year. Magendanz is running in the 5th. Republicans’ other priority candidate is State Representative Michelle Caldier, who is challenging incumbent Democratic State Senator Deb Krishnadasan in the 26th District.

The 5th is a suburban/exurban district located in southeast King County, encompassing communities like Issaquah, Snoqualmie, and Maple Valley. Magendanz represented a prior incarnation of the 5th a decade ago, before the Trump error, as a state representative. However, he came up short when he tried to move over to the Senate by challenging former seatmate Mark Mullet, a business friendly Democrat, in 2016.
