Early voting, Henrico gambling facility and Richmond real estate tax
Novembers general election is set to be a historic one, no matter who wins. Virginia is poised to elect its first female governor, either Republican Lt. Gov. Winsome Earle-Sears or Democratic ex-Congresswoman Abigail Spanberger.
VPM News State Politics Reporter Jahd Khalil recently spoke to Spanberger at the Virginia Museum of History and Culture, as part of a series of interviews with the candidates for the commonwealths top three statewide offices.
Earle-Sears campaign did not agree to an interview, so we instead put together a question and background that poses the questions Jahd would have asked and uses publicly available information to illustrate where she stands on key issues like education and federal job cuts.
You can read Jahds interview with Spanberger or the Earle-Sears question and background, or check out our episodes of the VPM Daily Newscast podcast featuring the candidates for governor, lieutenant governor and attorney general.
