Democrats lead in campaign funding ahead of November election
Va. (WSET)a — Democrats are leading in the polls and funding ahead of the November Virginia election, but a political analyst said this doesn't necessarily mean victory.
In the race for governor, Democrat Abigail Spanberger has raised just over $14 million compared to Republican Winsome Earle-Sears' $5.2 million.
Democratic Lieutenant Governor candidate Ghazala Hashmi currently sits just below $1.4 million to Republican John Reid's $374,000.
The race for attorney general is a bit closer.
