Fewer Lancaster County Amish Voted in 2024, Research Shows; GOP Claims Were 'Hyperbole'

“Ahead of the 2024 presidential election, a lot of aspirational talk among Republican Party organizers focused on turning out the Amish vote to help deliver the key swing state of Pennsylvania for Donald Trump.

Trump went on to win Pennsylvania by more than 120,000 votes, but the latest research findings from Elizabethtown College’s Young Center for Anabaptist and Pietist Studies show Republicans fell well short of the “thousands” of new Amish voters they had hoped to register.”
