A local area newsletter from Indivisible Hillsboro (https://www.indivisiblehillsboro-or.org/) pointed this out to me; FWIW, Indivisible know how to assemble a really solid newsletter. I think it's the first time a mass email has actually impressed me with its quality. Tons of useful info, no wasted space. Actually I appreciate the city's web page too -- looks & feels a bit like "old web".

Not sure what a local "state of emergency" will do, but we're in one now. Lots of passionate heart-pulling testimony during the 2-hour comment section, bookended by a land use notification rules complaint and 5 minutes of unanimous consent items so you know it's real.
