Republican challenge could stop Oklahoma efforts to open primary elections

State Republicans argued it would allow more people to vote in those elections and would violate their First Amendment rights.

KOCO 5 outlines their plans to keep the issue off of the ballot.

“We feel 100 percent ready to defend this,” said Margaret Kobos, CEO and founder of Oklahoma United.

State Question 836 would open primaries in Oklahoma, allowing you to choose which ballot you get to cast, regardless of your party membership.
