Fairfield mayor won't seek re-election in November

Mitch Rhodus’ days as a public servant are numbered.

They will end at the end of the year when he completes his first term as Fairfield’s mayor.

The 1976 Fairfield High School graduate said he won’t seek a second term as mayor, run for city council nor ask to be put on a city commission or board.

“I’m ready to give it up. I’ve achieved my goals. I’ll probably be playing more pickle ball,‘’ Rhodus said.
