Ohio, unlike most states, has no regulations governing the use of artificial intelligence in political communications

I wasn't aware of this. There are absolutely no restrictions on ads created by AI, including deepfakes. Every election cycle we are smothered with misleading ads. In our Republican super-majority state, nothing is being done to remedy the situation.

....once at or near the top in all the best categories to at or near the top in all the worst categories, under authoritarian republiconism for decades now.

Unregulated privatization ushers in so much corruption, greed, degradation and mediocrity.

Corrupt water utilities, corrupt energy utilities, corrupt tech providers, persistent redlining in real estate, biases in hiring, failure to modernize transportation infrastructure, deep rural racism, sexism, incestuous rape, pedophilic rape, rising drug use, gambling, and addiction, woefully inadequate mental health, declining public education and the list goes on and on....
