Dozens of homemade pipe bombs found in suspect's New York home, police say - ABC News

Raymond Elder, a New York man from White Plains, was charged with using weapons of mass destruction after federal agents discovered over 25 homemade pipe bombs in his apartment. Prosecutors say the suspect put his entire neighborhood outside New York City at risk.

... can kill or maim a LOT of people. That's mass murder. It can also destroy a LOT of property. That's what a pipe bomb is intended to do.
You might want to rethink your position.
