Analyzing the Black vote in NYC's Dem primary

There is a clearer picture of voter turnout now that the dust has settled on the Democratic primary, including which voter groups rallied behind which candidate.

Zohran Mamdani made large strides garnering support from younger voters, and middle to high-income New Yorkers, according to data from the Center for Urban research at the CUNY Graduate Center.

Mamdani’s support among Black voters, however, still trailed far behind rival Andrew Cuomo.

Rev. Rashad Moore of the First Baptist Church of Crown Heights and Public Advocate Jumaane Williams, who is just coming off of his own primary victory against State Assemblywoman Jenifer Rajkumar, joined “Inside City Hall” Friday to talk more about the impact of the Black vote.
