Bahamas officials confirmed that Brian Hooker was taken into custody Wednesday and is now "being questioned in connection" with Lynnette Hooker's disappearance.

I am assuming he was arrested over inconsistencies in his story. But the fact is that if you kill a partner in this way, it's going to be extremely hard to prove. Absent the victim finding a way to leave a message as she was about to drown, it's an entirely plausible story.
