The bullies want to fire a teacher who called Kirk a Nazi.

https://www.yahoo.com/news/articles/oskaloosa-school-board-vote-firing-102423715.html

The Oskaloosa school board will soon vote on its superintendent's recommendation to fire a teacher accused of making a controversial social media post about conservative activist Charlie Kirk after he was fatally shot during a Utah event.

But wait! there's more! The fascists in Iowa are scouring the posts, opinions of other teachers. (2 so far.)

Then another:
An Iowa State University financial aid employee's insensitive social media post has ignited similar controversy as Republican state lawmakers call on the board governing Iowa's public universities to immediately fire university employees who have publicly celebrated Kirk's assassination.

This is madness. All over some white male podcaster who got shot by another white male far right douche bag. I was only vaguely aware of who these people were, Steven Crowder types. Bloviating bigots. Now, the theatrical spectacle making a martyr out of a complete fucking asshole.

And the convicted felon and Jan. 6 rioters, what about all those crimes. I just can't with these nazis

PS: Kirk's wife is / was a honey pot.

I first saw the first few lines of this story in the Des Moines Register. It was behind their paywall. I have no subscription.

Now, I cannot even see the story on the Register's home page.

I'll google again to see if I can find another source. Maybe radio or t.v. station?

I had Des Moines Register link open in another tab. Copied above.

Not that it was insensitive, inappropriate or offensive for Charlie Kirk, the free speech warrior, to tell Black women like Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson that they "do not have the brain processing power to otherwise be taken really seriously... You had to go steal a white person’s slot to go be taken somewhat seriously." If it's wrong to shoot someone on account of their offensive speech, is it wrong to fire someone for offensive speech? "The remedy to be applied is more speech, not enforced silence.”

The GOP is trampling free speech. I guess that is what Nazis do.

Speaker Pat Grassley's post (Is this Chuck's grandkid?)
I have been made aware of social media posts by teachers in Iowa praising the assassination of Charlie Kirk. This hate has no place in our state, and certainly does not belong in our schools.

My expectation is that each school district will follow the proper protocol to investigate these posts and reprimand the posters appropriately. Individuals with this depravity cannot continue to hold a position with any level of influence over our children.

If appropriate action is not taken, you can trust that the Iowa House Government Oversight Committee will address this issue and take action to root out this hate from our schools.

Local control of the schools, until the republicans state wide take action. Small government, ha ha ha.

People have speculated that he's looking to fill Granddad's spot in a few years.
