Can someone tell me what's going on with Covid vaccines in GA!

My 81 yr old parents had to get a prescription to get the vaccine.

but in Florida they are apparently not available. Publix hasn't had them, and when I asked yesterday they didn't know if they would get the covid vaccine at all. CVS had them available for a couple of days last week but before I could get an appointment they had stopped administering them, prescription or not. I only learned that CVS had them from NextDoor.

I have long covid, I really don't want covid again. I'm thinking of going to another state. I need to find out if Medicare will pay for an out of state resident in whichever state I go to.

The insurance companies and brokers send out tons of solicitations for advantage plans though. I used to think that those companies spent most of their profit on management and administration. Now I think that they spend at least half on paper and printing.

I got Covid summer of 2024 and have had a nonstop list of health problems since then. I had resigned myself to wearing a mask everywhere this fall.

Fortunately, I was able to get the shot in NC over the weekend. Our governor signed an ordinance to allow pharmacies to administer it.

NC is probably your best bet if you go out of state. .
