Connecticut Secretary of State addresses Election Day issues

HARTFORD, Conn. — Connecticut Secretary of the State Stephanie Thomas opened up about the issues officials observed at polling locations throughout the state on Election Day.

Thomas spoke with FOX61 about how the state is working to prevent issues during future elections.

"There were many different types of issues that arose," Thomas said. "We're talking about a dozen or so issues reported to us, and it really ran the gamut."

Thomas said 1,200 new tabulators were rolled out for Tuesday's election, and the issues at polling locations ranged from outlets not working at polling sites, voters not completely filling in their bubble and even some voters deciding to bring their own pens to use at polling locations.
