NorCal forecast: Dry through Election Day. When rain chances could return.

Beautiful fall weather is in the forecast through early next week in Northern California, but the region's next rain chance may be right around the corner.

High pressure will keep winds light, skies mainly clear and temperatures a little warmer than normal for late October.

Thursday morning will be seasonably cool with lows in the Valley in the upper 40s to low 50s. Afternoon temperatures will be in the upper 70s with scattered high clouds.

The Foothills will have morning temperatures near 50 degrees and highs in the mid 70s. Sierra temperatures will range from the low 30s at sunrise to the upper 60s in the afternoon.
