Californians: who is your top candidate for Governor?

I only know of 3 potential candidates. I'm willing to add more at your request.

If you mean the Democratic primary, no Fiendish Thingy Jun 23 #3
Generally Republicans who get the nomination are not qualified to hold office SSJVegeta Jun 23 #4
Of course Fiendish Thingy Jun 23 #6

But I’m sure the Republicans will find a suitable nutjob who will run on anti-immigrant policies.

But a Republican nominee who runs a campaign focused on anti-immigrant rhetoric will probably get more votes than one who doesn’t.

I feel like CA is one place where that play is likely to work against them more than anything at this point.

But my expectation is Republicans will make immigration the central topic of the governor’s race.

They’re willing to screw themselves in order to mess with the libtards and cause fear and pain everywhere.—as we see continually

as is fairly typical. That was Newsom's route before her, after all.

Other unsurprising candidates, since they've won statewide elections before, are Becerra and Yee and Thurmond.

Who? She's been Lt. Governor for two terms now, and I doubt many Californians know who she is. I don't, and I actually try to keep myself informed.

She's been my state assembly member and state senate member. She's served on the San Diego City Council before being elected to the state assembly and within two years she was Speaker of the State Assembly. After she was termed out she ran and was elected to the State Senate in 2016. Two years later she was selected as the President pro tempore of the California State Senate and served in that position until 2024.

She has experience at the local level and at the state level as leader of both the state assembly and state senate. She knows how to get things done.
