Related: About this forumDemocratic incumbent Katie Porter vs. Republican attorney Scott Baugh - CLOSE RACE
Scott Baugh has 4 felonies. This race is close. I can't believe people would rather vote for a felon.
There are ads running in SoCal sponsored by Congressional Leadership Fund - a PAC dedicated exclusively to one goal: winning a Republican Majority in the House of Representatives.
In 1996, Baugh was indicted on 4 felonies and 18 misdemeanors for the part he played in a scheme to "place a decoy Democratic candidate on the ballot as a way of splitting Democrats share of the winner-take-all vote."

The ads are in this link if you want to see them. I've seen 3 of these on tv in the past week:

        I'm way behind: I didn't know Jon Stewart had a podcast. 🤪

(27,742 posts)2. Baugh is a Republican hack shitbird. Katie Porter's district
Now contains Huntington Beach, a bastion for neo Nazis and magas.

I wish there were some kind of omnipotent deity that would ensure that Porter retains her seat.
Alas, we have to rely on hundreds of thousands of imperfect human beings.
We *need* Representative White Board.
