Arkansas officer fired after viral video showed him threatening store owner and its employees

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — A part-time patrol officer with the Dover Marshal’s Office in Arkansas has been fired after a viral video revealed he threatened workers at a tobacco store.

Officials with the marshal’s office stated that the officer, former Dover Marshal Nathan Jones, was relieved of his duties on Wednesday after the office received and reviewed the video, noting that the statements made did not reflect the mission, values, or professional standards of the department.
The video shows the off-duty officer walking into the tobacco store, accompanied by a woman and a store worker.

"I am the law in this town, and I can promise you, if I hear my name brought up in any conversation, or [if I get] a rumor about meth pipes or oil burn pipes ... if I hear that one more time, I will have this place raided upon like you'd not believe," Jones can be heard saying in the video.
