If you liked "The Pitt" and can't wait for the second season

try "Code Black" on Amazon Prime. It's very similar, although a good deal more chaotic. At first I thought it was going to be reality TV, but it isn't. It follows a bunch of doctors and (mostly) residents at the (I tguess) fictitious Angels Memorial Hospital in LA, and it's a typical inner-city ER, although I admit I haven't seen a lot of gunshots yet. But otherwise, if you like gritty, realistic ER medical shows, this is your bag.

It only had a short run on CBS for whatever reason, but I seem to recall it being pretty good.

I love the Pitt. ER, for its time, was very well done in terms of medical procedures and reality. But, the Pitt---I've only caught a few small things I could quibble with. Very well done.

He is a physician who spent some time in the ER before and I was once an ER nurse who moved on to intensive care. Although things have certainly changed the basic jobs have not. It can be high stress and usually is. We both loved it. Much smaller environment for me than his place of employment.
