try "Code Black" on Amazon Prime. It's very similar, although a good deal more chaotic. At first I thought it was going to be reality TV, but it isn't. It follows a bunch of doctors and (mostly) residents at the (I tguess) fictitious Angels Memorial Hospital in LA, and it's a typical inner-city ER, although I admit I haven't seen a lot of gunshots yet. But otherwise, if you like gritty, realistic ER medical shows, this is your bag.

(110,828 posts)It only had a short run on CBS for whatever reason, but I seem to recall it being pretty good.
I love the Pitt. ER, for its time, was very well done in terms of medical procedures and reality. But, the Pitt---I've only caught a few small things I could quibble with. Very well done.

It can be high stress and usually is. We both loved it. Much smaller environment for me than his place of employment.
