Took a short train ride to Passau. I hadn't made it there yet. The plan was to relax and add another organ to our list of significant organs. It is being refurbished and won't be available for 2 more years.
So here are the flowers I saw while wandering around the town.

(7,338 posts)We were next to a catholic priest who was oneof the top priests in Theatinerkirche in Munich.
It is a very nice baroque style church that was under renovation. We were just starting our MAjor organ listening experiences. We had heard one in Prague while we were there.
I asked him if his church had organ concerts.
And his reply, with a sly grin, was, "No. We don't have a significant organ...."
We have been to around 15 different organs in 6 countries now.
That's why I like to go to Europe also -- to see and hear the organs.

(7,338 posts)don't be a stranger.
We have gotten 4 organs by sheer luck. One each in Holland, Bologna, Lyon, and Ulm, Germany.
They don't broadly advertise and then it tendsto be local. Occasionallyin Munich there willbe organ month (Orgel in German). Some churches here have Christmas/New Years concerts.
I have spent an order of magnitude more time in churches in the last 10 years than the previous 65.....
