Saturday's Horses and Around The Farm.
Pete and Maddie live in their corral, in their approximately two acre
in-between pasture and the recently opened up five acre pasture.
As yet their barn quarters are not finished.
Before Laurie completed necessary fencing, the Kids stayed
full-time in their corral, which was adequate, not cramped.

When the horses are in their pen, they do the best they can.

This is the in-between pasture, around two acres, including
the barn. It's flanked by the corral and the big pasture.

Just the other day, Pete and Maddie were heading up the
fence line to get to their new five-acre pasture.

Reaching the gate, they sauntered out.

We suspect the two like having some room out there to graze.

And romp around.

We'll leave off here. Thanks for stopping in. See you next week.

Around The Farm ~ Patchwork Week ~ A little of this and that
Laurie put up a trim piece on the west facing gable end of the barn.
First she applied masking tape for later painting over.

She part-way screwed in screws.

Measured twice (both ends) so to cut but once.

As always, Shadow worried when Mommy's up a ladder.

But Shadow relaxed and Laurie finished attaching the trim piece.
Painting to await another day.

Despite Shadow's penchant for chasing and barking at birds

two were able to settle calmly and be photographed.
This male House Finch, in particular, sang a pretty birdsong.

And a Robin roosted at sunset.

KC invested some time outside. His predictable route
included going under the porch.

At the other end he found a dog. Or she found him. Or both.

Anyhow, KC kept going around to the side porch.

And past our Irises.

There was a pretty sunset one evening.

A flock of geese honked loudly overhead.

And I called it a day.
Thank You for visiting the farm. C'mon by most anytime.
