the horsehead and flame nebulas

IC 434 the horsehead nebula and ngc 2024
part of the orion molecular cloud, located about 1350 light years away. The cloud is a giant star forming region in the constelaltion orion. The bright star is Alnitak, one of the stars in the belt of orion.

This from a total of 23 hours of exposure tie over several nights in my backyard.

the halos around Alnitak is casued by the filter i use on nebulas. one day ill get a better filter but they are expensive ($350 +)
