1. I hate the AI slop video flooding the internet. It should never have been allowed. But the AI companies and

tech platforms make money off it. Just as Amazon makes money off AI slop books on Kindle.

And that's all they care about. And all the ethics-free AI users creating the slop care about. They don't care that generative AI is based on theft, with AI trained on stolen intellectual property. They don't care that the AI slop they upload is full of misinformation and advice that might be very harmful.

2. Rick keeps changing his video title. The first was something like "AI is killing the interner...and nobody cares."

Then it was "The great AI scam" or wording close to that.

And now "The Internet Is Dead…And Nobody Cares."

I think he keeps changing it because no words can really express just how horrifying this is.

I knew it was going to get bad, and I've been posting warnings about genAI harms for years. But it's caused more harm faster than I would have believed possible, a few years ago.

And btw, although a lot of the comments on Rhett's video a couple of days ago said that AI channel was being reported to YouTube, it's still there.

5. I found a video a friend of Rhett Shull's did after doing some sleuthing, investigating that AI user. This is

his video and the comment he posted and pinned to the top of the YouTube commments.

He found that the AI user had multiple channels offering fake expertise about different interests that may also have been fake, just picked as clickbait. Which is something I've been warning people about here for a while. Not only is it a mistake to assume an AI-generated.video has accurate information, but it's a mistake to believe it truly represents the AI user's real interests and opinions. Whoever uses AI to generate anti-Trump protest songs, for instance, might very well have a pro-Trump channel, both used purely as clickbait.

Alright so after making this video I've gone further down the rabbit hole. I was able to find a list of all the PDF's being sold by the guy who made the one listed on the Everything Fender US channel. From there I just googled up the names of these ebooks and found a tonne of videos pointing to them. They are all AI and look very similar just with different interests like history, gardening, motorcycles, more guitar channels, fishing, etc. I suspect it's a fairly large network of these types of AI channels being run by the same guy(s) on a variety of interests that specifically seem to appeal to middle aged men. Who knows how much he pulls in but if it's as widespread as it appears I would guess it's a decent amount. I think a bigger question is, if some guy can do this from his bedroom and fool people with the tools we all have access to, what can someone who has significantly more resources do with this tech? Where does this go next.
