Mighty Mouse or Japan's Astro Boy?

Mighty Mouse made his first appearance in the 1942 short film, "The Mouse of Tomorrow."
as Super Mouse, created by animator Isidore Klein + studio head Paul Terry at Terrytoons.
His name was changed to Mighty Mouse in 1944 to avoid confusion w/ another character.

Astro Boy, created by Japanese manga artist Osamu Tezuka, first appeared in 1951 as a
supporting character in "Ambassador Atom" and became the main character in the manga
"Tetsuwan Atom" (Mighty Atom), which began serialization in April 1952.
