Country Joe McDonald 1/1/42 - 3/7/26

I was a certified CJ & the Fish Freak since 1967. It blew my mind when I saw the Woodstock movie that he spelled F-I-S-H wrong. haha.
I still have all three of those first albums and a solo release by Joe. I had every word on these records memorized and can still sing along on many.

He also did an album of Woody Guthrie songs. He was a lot like Woody, in that he could hold a mirror up the nation's conscience and make it rhyme.
This song is the perfect send off to a counterculture troubadour. He was one of us.
