You may like WWOZ.org. An incredible radio station out of New Orleans that you can stream online. The traditional jazz shows and the Sunday morning Gospel! Two week archive of their shows, great interviews with musicians.

The composers wanted to write a positive song in the midst of the traumatic 1960s and they had Armstrong record it because of the artist's ability to bring people of different backgrounds together.

In 2015, the song was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame as a Towering Song.

There are hundreds of recordings of the song. Here's one of my favorites by the late but great Israel "IZ" Kamakawiwoʻole:
