An anthem for my late wife's ex. Their daughter was as much mine from 4yo - college. He died at 45 from a heart attack (cholesterol).

I was working the b-shift (yes, b-shift) as a service tech at a small Datsun (yes, Datsun) dealership in Englewood, Colorado sometime about 1973ish. It was not an unpleasant job and that 2nd shift was fairly unusual for a car dealership (probably still is). Most of us in that shop were pretty buggy about all kinds of racing and the dealership sponsored a couple of very different race cars, a fast 510 mini-stocker and a very scary TransAm racer.

Along with the likes of Leon Russell, Seals and Croft and Chuck Berry, seems like this song was always playing on the shop radio. Hearing it sure brings back many fond memories of those formative years.

Thanks for the flashback, dweller.
