Perhaps the boldest statement in rock & roll history, this rebellious anthem is Joey Ramone's demand that real rock songs be played on radio stations. As if.
Always yearning for one solid hit, The Ramones changed producers for this album. While Phil Spector produced the previous release, this single originated from "Pleasant Dreams" (1981) produced by Graham Gouldman, a member of 10cc . He penned a number of hits, including "For Your Love" by The Yardbirds.
It was for naught however, as the song failed to get mainstream traction. Despite the change in sound, the album didn't chart.... and that's what I like the most about it.
At 3:22 it probably qualifies as a Ramones ballad. LOL
