Related: About this forumThe Chambers Brothers
Every time I hear this I have an immediate flashback to when I first heard it, blasting thru the open doors of a head shop, corner Bourbon and St. Peters (or was it a block down... can't recall) a wall of bell bottom jeans, tie dyed t-shirts, patchouli in the air (and who knows what else, eh?) memories....
Rest in peace, Joe Chambers
time has come today...

(3,002 posts)3. Absolutely wonderful memories.
I remember that FM radio was just getting started. We loved being able to listen to the extended version of our favorite songs! I miss the delicious fun of wandering through head shops, looking at the cool clothes, listening to music, buying paraphernalia, and enjoying the comaraderie. I miss those days.
Thanks for the great memories. Today, I will enjoy wearing a little patchouli.
