50 years ago today, All the President's Men opened across the United States.

For the cast list and more, see the IMDB entry:

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0074119/

"There's been a break-in at Democratic headquarters..."

Have you seen it?

Did you see it when it was initially released?

to my stomach at how far into the gutter the WaPo has fallen.
It’s a great film.

I'm 86 and agree with all you have said. So much of the shit seems to happen under Republican leadership!

Remember when it was happening. I was in my late teens and becoming eligible to vote around then, had already been to many street protests by then.

I've watched it a few times since. I read the book, too.
Excellent book and film.

I've seen it several times. I have no memory of Watergate. I was a baby & toddler when it happened.

on the set of The Great Gatsby between takes of scenes and he was not focused on his acting or the film, he was focused on the Watergate Hearings.

I heard Woodward and Bernstien making comments a few years ago when the film was once again on everyone's mind. They said the big difference at the WaPo now it the sound, or lack of sound.

Currently everyone at the WaPo uses computers as opposed to loud typewriters.

That made me focus on the sounds while re-watching this film.

***Also, Nixon suspected Deep Throat was Felt from the FBI.

"W. Mark Felt, the former Associate Director of the FBI, was revealed in May 2005 to be "Deep Throat," the secret source who helped The Washington Post expose the Watergate scandal. Felt, who died in 2008, maintained his silence for over 30 years, often denying his role, while his family hailed him as a patriot".
