(91,770 posts)Is he able to write about it? Either longhand or typing if he has a typewriter? Just a thought, because we're all gonna face that, and we can learn much from him. Is there some way you could help with that - assuming you're emotionally able. This is tough stuff.
You can always come here and commiserate. There are so many DUers who are able, and willing, to keep a vigil with you, or maybe share what difficult transitions they witnessed from relatives or friends of their own.
It's the last big trip, I guess. He's lucky to have you close by.

They just brought him out of a medically induced coma. Hes in ICU and is being moved to hospice today if possible. The only people able to be with him are his wife and daughter. I probably wont be able to see him and I dont want to take away their remaining time with him. All of us who care are just sending him love and light.

(995 posts)It's hard to watch a friend suffer and die. I hope you're surrounded by other friends to support you. I'm glad to know you can always get support here

(28,207 posts)Not with that illness, but at my sis and I recent get together thought of our friend we lost in 2009 in her early 50s.
So difficult.
You can always come here to express yourself if you can/want to.
