Counting the minutes till I can pick up my son from the airport! So no drinks for me. Can’t wait to see him. This will be his last trip home as a single man as he will be getting married next weekend. Where did the time go?

I used to think it didn't matter much, but I had a New Zealand vodka recently that was weirdly heavy, almost sweet. Was glad to see the last of it!

It’s one of the smoothest and east to drink vodkas. There are a lot of different brands that I like. But Ketel One is a stand-out.

We sold our house in Tacoma so we could live near my daughter and son in law. I will miss my morning walks with the dog an the view of Commencement Bay and The Mountain.

A gin and tonic with a fair amount of crushed fresh mint and some lime juice.

G&T mixed with gin ricky. It's quite tasty. It's only tricky if you overdo the gin.

I just have a large pot of fresh mint and am looking for a way to use it.

Nothing beats are really good, aromatic gin.
