Good morning my DU family,

Contact. It's not hard to describe how excited the strays back near the cemetery get every time I visit them to feed them and to hang out a little when I walk Cuddles.

They rub up against me, flop and roll in the dirt, and purr like crazy. I'll sit down and they can't get enough petting and scratches, and then they'll dig in to the food.

I swear they are happier to see me than they are the food some days lol.

I know I can hardly stop talking when I get together with a couple of friends from church, which happens a little more than it used to.

If you know someone who lives alone, please reach out and tell them they're on your mind or offer to visit or help if needed. Most of the time, you'll get a thanks but no thanks, but please know that down in their hearts, they're so happy to be known.

Please give us a day filled with opportunities to be friends to others, especially those living alone, brightening the days for those who may not have another opportunity today.

Have a heart warming day DU,
Love, John.
