For any product be it food, cosmetics, or other items..why torture animals? Even dissecting frogs in high school can be done with animation and lessons still learned.

Rabbits don't have to have poison put in their eyes in order to test cosmetics.
Dogs, cats, monkeys & other mammals also don't have to die in order to do lab testing.
Over 90% of U.S. medical schools have phased out or eliminated the use of live animals to teach medical students and instead are using lifelike robotic mannequins, synthetic tissues, and virtual reality.

I dont have a recommendation for one vs the other but I used to belong to the one based in Jenkintown PA, which I believe is Quaker in origin. I think they both have the same goals.
