My prescription for these tense, combative times is the series CORNER GAS.

I think I've seen the series front to back twice, as well as the movie, so I'm on my third run.

ALL of the cast members were EXPERTLY chosen.

Just saw a scene where Oscar is complaining about the thermostat being set at 72.

He's gasping and panting as he says "It's like a SAUNA! It's like AFRICA! It's like a sauna IN Africa!"

It's what I'd call gentle, good natured humor. And yeah, some of the characters get selfish and insensitive at times but that's real life. It's never pre-meditated of mean-spirited.

It's on Amazon WITH commercials and on Roku's Howdy channel WITHOUT. I'm a without commercials guy.

Yeah. Definitely something missing in the cartoons. The facial expressions of the actors in the live show...impossible to have the same impact without that.

Discovered it years ago. Bought the complete season. Kind of a Seinfeld/Green Acres Mash-up.

It's Amazon's free, ad-supported channel. You're not going to find it anywhere for free without commercials, so if commercials don't bother you:
