We ended up with 3 noisy males, and one female that the coyotes got. A goose egg is worth about 3 hen's eggs.

This is an African goose.

About 15 years ago a cat showed up on our driveway. She was either a stray or abandoned, and close to starvation. We gave her water and the next day gave her food. A few days after that I took her to our vet (we already had 2 cats), had the fleas taken care of, got her shots. It took a while for this new cat to be accepted by the other two, mainly because I didn't really understand how to introduce a new cat into a household, but eventually they all got along.

We originally thought we'd adopt her out, but kept her instead. I'm very glad we did.

Sadly, but in the normal course of time, they went to, as I call it, that great litterbox in the sky.
