And I'm pretty sure I would be able to get over my preference for drinking water from a glass and get something with a secure lid.

but I still need to use travel cups with lids because any upright glass must be knocked over. It seems to be some sort of cat's rule.

and I don't even own any cats any more, But I am quite a klutz. I can knock over a water glass without intending to just as well as a cat can. And then there's the fact that there are different placed in the house where I habitually drink water, and if I have a capped water bottle at all of them, I don't have to carry just one glass around.
