Advent Calendars

I'm in Germany and we are awash with Advent Calendars. From cheap to expensive. From small to large couples ones.
Here is one I saw at my local home improvement center. Hagebaumarkt.
It is tempting....

Evidently this is a yearly thing....

Filled ones here also.
But there are a good number of alcohol filled chocolates here all year long.

in the summer of 2023 and came back fans of single malt whisky. I sent them a whisky advent calendar for Christmas that year. Last year they ordered their own. I went to Scotland in October this year and they told me this year they couldn't get the whisky advent calendar they wanted because of tariffs. I went online and ordered two for them from the shop that had been across the street from my hotel in Edinburgh, despite the tariffs.
Life is short! Slainte!

I love putting all the little pieces together. Last year was a Star Wars one, (hard--but lots of fun!) and this year it's just a kid one:

I got it for the alien heads--couldn't resist!
