I wanted to thank everyone who helped us out.

I cannot express my gratitude enough to all those who pitched in to help my husband and myself during this time. He has already ordered the new shoes and we are going to head to get some new socks as well. (He is brutal with socks. He does not like using them and he doesn't care what he does to them when he removes them. Sigh.)

He was very surprised when I told him about the GoFundMe, as he did not know I was doing it (per my design). He was very grateful about it and wanted me to pass on his extreme thanks as well. He was very down about the entire footwear thing and did not see a way to take care of it any time soon. Of course, the company he works for is not doing well and will probably fold soon enough. (Some folks are going to be surprised when this happens, but we are not. He used to be a market manager with them and knows all too well what is going on 'behind the scenes'.)

Now, if I can just get the rest of my prescriptions done, I might make it to the new year. We cannot afford one of them at the moment, and I don't see it happening for the next few weeks. I have asked for enough from everyone, so this is what it is. The entire point is to make sure people see what this regime is doing to folks and the consequences of denying the majority of your population proper healthcare and necessities. So, it is what it is.

At least my husband will not suffer ankle, knee, back and neck problems as much now. That is what is most important.

Thank you all again. This community is why there may be hope for the future.

Sometimes they have samples to give to those in need.

But, I will ask them about it. I am not sure about the gabapentin though. That one gets classes in the same group as opioid medications (which I find hysterically funny) and I am not sure if they have sample of it.
