It snowed 5 or 6 inches here in central Pa. A couple years ago my daughter got me a snowblower, that was nice, then she said because I was getting old, that was mean, I'm only 78 with a new knee.
It took me 10 minutes to get it started and yes I had Sta-bil in the gas.
She could have gotten me an electric starter, just kidding.
I dread taking our outdoor cat to the vet tomorrow. He sleeps in a heated cat house in the garage. He is like 13 and I have to get him to the vet by 7:30 tomorrow morning to have at least 1 tooth pulled. Talk about health insurance, if he has more than one bad tooth I'm approaching $1,000.00. He's worth it though, he's been a very good boy, chipmunks hate him though.

(628 posts)Although we don't have any snow on the ground, the temps today are in the 30s with windchills in the low 20s and upper teens.
Time to add some gasoline and fire it up to make sure it still works.

(39,509 posts)I wonder if that's a sign that we're going to have a tough winter this year. There doesn't seem to be a Groundhog's Day equivalent for winter weather, is there? In Pittsburgh we barely had a few flurries that melted before they hit the ground.
Good luck to your kitty!

Plus, I don't have to "fire up" my snowblower. It's electric!
Plus, they're calling for a high of 70° on Saturday!
