of the woods. I found this vibrant bunch of leaves, probably photoshopped, but it cheered me up.

And then there are years when the conditions are just right, and the colors are so breathtaking you can't believe what your eyes are seeing.
This year in my neck of the woods here in New England it was too dry.

(4,314 posts)The longest fall I can remember -- started in September and still going. Orange and red.
Summer was dry but September was warm and wet. Haven't had a hard frost yet. 8 amazing weeks.

(24,429 posts)Were in the lower Catskills and from August until now the weather has been lovely. The trees have been colorful for weeks though its starting to end.
