Then the day after the holiday he would show up with gifts that had been reduced by 50%.

Was he a shrewd businessman or a complete jerk?

My MAGA brother and his MAGA wife were seated at the table across from me. For grace we had to go around the table and say what we were thankful for. I said I was thankful for family, friends, health, and special prosecutors. I never heard a peep out of them toward me the rest of the day!

Big Lots reopened a local store and they had a grand opening event. When I went in, Christmas music was playing. They had Halloween decorations on sale for 50% off. Boo! Ho Ho Ho!

The Christmas merchandise was out and on sale!
I have never seen Christmas stuff on sale so early.
But even on sale it was still too expensive.

And yes they were playing Christmas music which felt odd and jarring.

My friend and I would have several conversations a year about trying to buy things for the season we were celebrating and too bad! The stores were selling the next holiday. I couldn't get boots in Jan, or a swimsuit in June, and she couldn't get Halloween stuff in October, or Christmas stuff in December.

I was looking for a current season jacket with football logo.
But didn't want to pay full price. And wanted it for fall and early winter wear.
And could be worn with a sweater in very cold weather.

All of them had been moved out and heavy winter coats in their place.

It is still autumn and still football season!

Interestingly the store kept some of the jackets for men out.
But the women's had all been moved out for winter stuff.

I bet there are plenty of women shopping for sports items, probably more than men.

Once again, tying one arm behind their backs and expecting stellar results.

Hope you find what you're looking for

And moved on from football season.

But yes the store is missing an opportunity because
women will also buy sports items as Christmas gifts.

It is not important, I don't need the item.
I was just hoping to get something marked down but I guess I missed the boat.
